my story

What I love about photography is: the people + pictures. Simple. People are important and capturing a time in their life brings joy to my soul.  Once you miss it, it's gone.

How I started.
Well, it started in my youth. As a kid, I carried my camera with me everywhere, snapping pictures of people and scenes that caught my eye. When I began having children of my own, my camera helped me capture special moments in their lives. Even though the time passed so quickly, the images let me hold onto the memories. I felt firsthand how important these photos were to me, and decided I wanted to help other people collect their own memories for years to come. That is why I started this business – for people like you!

Let’s hang out! Here’s how it works.
The time we spend together will be relaxed and fun. After I understand your vision, I’ll choose a couple of locations and start shooting both loosely posed and candid photos. (Always searching for the one that will make mom tear up!) My goal is to engage with my clients to create photographs that are personal, emotional, and timeless – whether I’m photographing a young family, high school senior, little ones, or an extended family.

What about when I’m not behind the camera?
I love spending time with my husband, four kids, family and friends. I volunteer regularly and Engaged In Life Photography sponsors Adopt-a- Highway. I coach volleyball, love working out, playing tennis and biking. I enjoy experimenting with new healthy recipes and getting my hands dirty in the garden. And every now and then, I teach a photography class to help other aspiring photographers become more comfortable behind the lens.

I can’t wait to meet you and help you capture your own special images!
